    OMNI Ethiopia, in partnership with GIZ, is implementing the “Voices of Voters” project to strengthen community radio stations’ capacity to provide accurate, inclusive, and non-partisan election information. A key component of the project is training journalists on responsible election reporting.

    The objective of this consultancy is to equip 45 community radio journalists with the knowledge and practical skills required for conflict-sensitive and safety-sensitive election reporting, including legal and ethical frameworks and election content production. The trainings will be delivered in two regional clusters: Adama/Bishoftu and Hawassa.

    Develop training materials tailored for community radio journalists
    Deliver in-person training sessions covering election legal frameworks, ethics, conflict-sensitive and safety-sensitive reporting, and content production
    Provide mentorship during the content production phase, including reviewing production plans and giving pre- and post-broadcast feedback
    Support participant content production with practical guidance
    Submit a mentorship and feedback report on participant-produced content
