Job Description
Job description Omni Ethiopia, in partnership with GIZ, is implementing the “Voices of Voters” project. This initiative aims to strengthen the capacity of community radio stations to deliver non-partisan election information and education, facilitate election dialogue, and engage citizens at the grassroots level. A critical component of the project is training community radio staff on interview techniques and debate moderation specific to elections.
The consultancy seeks an experienced media trainer to train 45 community radio journalists across Ethiopia. Trainings will take place in two regional clusters: Adama/Bishoftu and Hawassa. The focus is on understanding and applying interview techniques and debate moderation in an election context.

Develop training materials on interview techniques and debate moderation tailored for community radio journalists
Conduct in-person training sessions in selected regional clusters
Train participants on interviewing techniques, candidate questioning, debate formats, and moderation skills
Provide practical exercises and applied learning for radio-based election programming
Support participants to strengthen professional, balanced, and non-partisan election dialogue skills.
