Invitation to Bid for Supply & Installation of Solar Irrigation Pumps in Cherrati and Elkere Woreda of Afdher Zone, Somali Regional State of Ethiopia

Islamic Relief Worldwide (IRW) is an independent humanitarian and development organization established in Birmingham, UK in 1984. With a presence in over 40 countries around the globe IRW has been responding to humanitarian needs and fighting poverty for over the last 40 years. Similarly, it has been operating in Ethiopia since 2004 in Addis Ababa City, Oromia, Somali and Afar National Regional States. Since 2004, Islamic Relief (IR) has been operational in Ethiopia delivering humanitarian assistance and implementing development interventions. Working with the local communities and government, IR managed to reach millions of vulnerable communities in remote pastoralist areas and the very urban poor.

As part of this, IRE wants to undertake supply and installation of three river intake floating solar irrigation pumps and one solar submersible pump at Cherrati and Elkere Woredas, Afdher Zone, Somali Regional State of Ethiopia, Accordingly.

a) The ISLAMIC RELIEF (IR) now invites all eligible suppliers registered and licensed under by relevant government authorities for 2016 E.C to supply and installation of three river intake floating solar irrigation pumps and one solar submersible pump in Cherrati and Elkere Woredas, Afdher Zone, Somali Regional State;

b) The offer shall include purchase of solar power water system, transportation, installation, commissioning, testing, and training for solar operators:

c) A complete set of bidding documents can be purchased by any interested eligible bidder on the submission of a written application to the ISLAMIC RELIEF ETHIOPIA (IRE), upon payment of non-refundable fee of Birr 400.00 at Islamic Relief Ethiopia A/C 1000007230714

d) Experience with similar assignments for at least three years is required:

1. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security of 2% of bid amount in CPO or the bid security must be valid for 60 days that commence from bid opening date:

g) Blds must be delivered to IR Ethiopia before Tuesday 3 September 2024 at 10:00am local time. Bid will be close same date at 10:00 AM local time and be opened on the rame date at 10:30 AM.

h)IRE reserves the right to reject any or all offers without giwing mason for doing so.
