Bid Announcement for Motor and Property Insurance Coverage

Background

Established in 1966, Family Guidance Association of Ethiopia (FGAE) is one of the prominent non-governmental organizations in Ethiopia that has been contributing to the national effort to meet the high unmet need for reproductive health services in the country for more than to half a century.

Currently the Association is working under eight Area Offices that coordinate more than 43 own and 370 private and public clinics found in almost all regional states of the Country.

As part of the ongoing effort to systematically manage associated risks of the association’s vehicles and properties, FGAE wants to procure relevant insurance coverage for all of its owned motor vehicles and properties as per the ToR.

To this end, the association would like to invite qualified and competent insurance companies to supply with all relevant insurance coverage for FGAE.

Description of the Assignment

The Purpose of this assignment is to engage an insurance company to provide comprehensive insurance coverage for all assets of FGAE. More specifically the assignment intends;

To purchase comprehensive motor insurance coverage to:-
Motor Own Damage Insurance
3rd Party Insurance
Motor 3rd Party Liability and property damage for personal injury and property damage
To purchase comprehensive property insurance coverage
Fire and Lightning Damage and Impact Damage
Burglary and house braking
Money Insurance
Fidelity Guarantee insurance
Interested consulting firms can participate in the bid to offer the Insurance service as per a Terms of Reference (ToR) prepared for this purpose. Applicants can collect the ToR beginning from November 28, 2022 from  FGAE, Head Office room no. 5 at a non-refundable fee of birr 200. (This bid is also available at www.fgaee.org)

Application procedure

All bidders are required to submit separate technical and financial proposals in sealed and stamped envelopes (one original and one copy for each) at the Head Office to room no. 1 (at Reception) on or before December 12, 2022 at 12:00 (Lunch time).  Bid proposal shall be accompanied by a bid security of ETB 50,000.00 in the form of CPO or bank guarantee.

Requirement

Applicants are required to fulfill the following minimum requirement:

They should be legally registered and shall present renewed trade license ;
They should have VAT and TIN registration certificate;
They should be able to provide organizational profile and the CVs of individuals who are going to take part in the organizational structure assessment ;
They should demonstrate good deal of previous experience in conducting project baseline assessments, project end-term evaluations, and researches related to AYSRH, etc;
They should have mix of expertise from public health, SRH, social sciences, monitoring & evaluation and quantitative subjects like statistics and other relevant fields
The bid will be opened on December 12, 2022 at 2:00 PM (after lunch) at FGAE Head office in the presence of bidders who choose to attend the opening. FGAE reserves the right to partially or fully cancel the bid.
